If you live in Scot­land and look­ing for jobs/ work or employ­ment then you have come to the right site. We gen­er­ally focus on the IT side of things, hence the domain name, though in real­ity we are open to peo­ple from all indus­try sec­tors. We are, after all in the same boat.

Hav­ing lived in Edin­burgh and Glas­gow and worked there for some years, we feel we can con­tribute a lit­tle to those look­ing for work. To add to our own insights, we are look­ing for job seek­ers that have expe­ri­ence the post 2007 reces­sion times to give insight into what is hap­pen­ing there now and how peo­ple out of jobs are coping.

The pur­pose of this site, albeit early days, is to pro­vide assis­tance to job seek­ers through shared expe­ri­ences, where the older or more expe­ri­enced can help those that are new to the employ­ment mar­ket, giv­ing insights into good job search strate­gies, good CV writ­ing tech­niques, career advice and of course help on where the best places are to find Tech/ IT and other jobs in Scotland.

addi­tion­ally, we have started pulling together a list of career resources that can help job seeker page through the peo­ple we have expe­ri­ence in work­ing with or have been rec­om­mended to us by other who have used them. Be aware that these oper­a­tors are not spe­cific to Scot­land, but most are UK based. These employ­ment related spe­cial­ists have been oper­at­ing in the UK for many years and are all spe­cial­ists in their industry.

We will also be adding a list­ing of our expe­ri­ences with the var­i­ous job site in Scot­land, giv­ing our view on user expe­ri­ence, level of inter­est received from recruiters and employ­ers, and a few other met­rics that will Scot­tish job seek­ers an insight into the good, the bad and the ugly of Scot­tish job sites.
